Another Telegraph article, this time Lord Stern makes some sweeping predictions and statements that are unsubstantiated by Scientific proof and suggests that if I don’t believe him I am a the same as people who didn’t believe in the link between HIV and Aids or Smoking and Cancer. Of course in reality those 2 things were scientifically provable whereas Climate Change is not! If we are going to stoop to that level though I will compare him to someone who believed in Eugenics. That was practiced around the world and was promoted by governments, and influential individuals and institutions, that covered a lack of science with sweeping statements. I hate to quote Wikipedia but:
